graphic-finalRecent studies have shown that while most parents feel like they are doing an adequate job parenting, they also face growing concerns. Issues such as internet safety and sexting were foreign to the previous generation, and are rising concerns for millienial parents. Most parents of pre-teens say being a parent is a central part of their identity yet admit they seem to enjoying their kids less as time goes on. What is a parent to do in the face of their child's pending transition to adulthood?

Join Benny and Sheree Phillips, a pastor and wife with seven children, sixteen grandchildren and authors of four books on parenting and related topics, as they host a free seminar that will seek to help parents navigate the sometimes rough adolescent waters.

"I remember being a young parent and being overwhelmed at very thought of my children one day becoming teenagers," said Benny Phillips. "We had been taught by our culture to expect rebellion as normal, and felt like there must be a better way. Although we certainly made mistakes along the way, we learend to embrace and enjoy the journey with our kids through one of life’s great transitions. We hope this seminar helps parents develop a grid to better understand the unique opportunities and challenges of the teenage years."
